The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is the State’s social service agency that oversees various programs that serve vulnerable Kansans. Programs include: Prevention and Protection Services, Economic and Employment Services, Rehabilitation Services, Child Support Services and Faith-based and Community Initiatives. The agency’s motto is Strong Families Make a Strong Kansas. The mission is to protect children, promote healthy families and encourage personal responsibility. DCF has approximately 2,300 employees and serves a half a million Kansans.
